Privacy policy

Last updated 31 July 2026. This policy covers https://njreap.com and is written by New Jersey Real Estate Appraisals and Photography LLC.

What we collect

Only two things, and both are things you actively do.

When you send a request. Your name, phone number, email address if you provide one, what the appraisal is for, any message you write, and the property address and public record details attached to the request.

When you search an address. The text you type is sent to our server so it can query New Jersey public property records. Searches are rate limited, which means a coarse record of search volume by network address is kept for that purpose alone.

Analytics

Two measurement tools run on this site, both loaded after the page is interactive so they never delay it:

  • Google Analytics 4, to count page views and see which pages people arrive on and leave from. IP addresses are truncated before storage.
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised interaction with pages — scrolling, clicks, where people stop reading — so we can tell which parts of the site are unclear. It does not capture what you type into form fields.

Both set cookies in your browser. Neither is used for advertising, and we do not run advertising pixels, retargeting or cross-site tracking. If you prefer to opt out entirely, browser-level "do not track" and content blockers both work here, and nothing on the site stops functioning.

What we do not collect

  • No advertising cookies, no retargeting, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.
  • No account, no password, and no payment details are taken through this website.

Browser storage

Beyond the analytics cookies described above, one item is stored in your browser: a theme value recording whether you chose the light or dark appearance. It never leaves your device and is not a cookie. Clearing site data removes both.

Where it goes

A request you send is emailed to us and stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Address searches are passed through to a New Jersey public property records service so it can return the record; we do not store the result unless you attach it to a request you send.

Where an appraisal assignment follows, the information you gave becomes part of the assignment file and is then also governed by the confidentiality obligations the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice place on an appraiser, which are stricter than this policy.

What we never do

We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list because you requested a quote. Information is disclosed only to people you have asked us to send the report to, to service providers who operate the systems described above, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become assignments are kept while they may still be relevant and are removed on request. Where an assignment goes ahead, the appraiser is required to retain a workfile for at least five years after preparation, or two years after final disposition of any judicial proceeding in which testimony was given, whichever is longer. That obligation overrides any deletion request for the file itself.

Asking us to remove your details

Email info@njreap.com or call (908) 437-8505. Tell us what you sent and we will remove it, subject only to the workfile retention obligation above.

Children

This site is for people arranging property valuations and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it in the same update. The date at the top is the date of the last change.
